Accounting Intern

HF Sinclair in Dallas, TX is seeking a Summer 2027 Accounting Intern who will assist Accountants by performing routine accounting assignments under close supervision. Job duties include preparing various accounting statements and reports, reviewing and updating files daily/monthly, performing accounting and financial analysis, processing credit card file reports, invoicing marketers, measuring volumes and tracking actual vs. scheduled volumes by site, making accounting entries, tracking and entering all master file additions, changes, and de-branding. Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.

Education level: Some completed courses needed for a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in accounting or finance are required.

Required skills: Able to perform some basic accounting analysis and ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. Basic knowledge of Microsoft products, entry-level understanding of accounting practices and procedures. Intermediate reading and writing skills. Ability to effectively communicate with others, both written and verbal communication. Experience with accounting and maintenance software, and experience in revenue accounting is preferred.
