Experience: Prefer one year of experience in general radiology; new graduates eligible

License: California Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) required

Certifications: ARRT required; Current AHA or equivalent healthcare provider BLS Certification required

Must-Have:

• Graduate of an AMA approved radiology course
• Basic clerical and computer experience
• Interpersonal skills demonstrating caring, communication, collaboration, and competence

Description:

Works under the supervision of the Urgent Care Manager with oversight by the Imaging Manager. Performs general radiographic studies to established quality assurance criteria. Produces radiographs and organizes images, completing required paperwork and charges. Responsible for patient safety and well-being during examinations. Assists and instructs patients during examinations. Assists with clerical and other duties as assigned. Reports all equipment malfunctions. Cleans and inspects equipment prior to use. Responsible for evaluating each study to ensure it meets required quality standards. Reports all patient complaints, discrepancies, and drug reactions according to quality assurance policies. Responsible for producing images, burning CDs, and occasional film printing. Seeks out work in other areas of the department during downtime, such as front desk duties and rooming patients. Demonstrates performance by adhering to established policies and procedures. Attendance is an essential function of the job.
