Attorney - Insurance Coverage

Role Description The firm’s managing partner, who is located in its Dallas office, oversees the firm’s rapidly growing civil appellate and insurance coverage groups . Ideal candidates will hav e strong research and writing skills , have knowledge of or experience with insurance law, and a desire to vigorously represent clients. This role provides the opportunity to work directly with our managing partner and gain hands-on experience in a broad range of coverage matters, ranging from rendering opinions, filing and handling declaratory judgment actions, and representing carriers in bad faith litigation. Responsibilities: Researching, writing on, and analyzing complex legal issues Case assessment and legal issue spotting Handle and manage client reporting, billing, and legal deadlines Meet or exceed monthly billable hour goal of 180 hours Qualifications: Licensed to practice in the State of Texas Sound, fundamental knowledge of state and federal procedural rules Able to work with a team in a collaborative environment or independently Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills Proficient with Windows and Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel Experience: Coverage experience or extensive legal research and writing experience of at least 3 years is preferred License/Certification: TX Bar License Compensation: If you have at least three years of experience meeting the foregoing requirements, you should expect a starting salary in the range of $150,000, or higher, depending on your experience and skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr Walters, Balido & Crain LLP
