Trueline;s client is expanding its nationally recognized First-Party Insurance Practice and is seeking a Senior Associate to handle sophisticated coverage and bad faith litigation for major insurance carriers. This is an opportunity to take ownership of your cases while working alongside one of Texas' most respected insurance litigation teams. What You'll Be Doing: You’ll independently manage a full litigation docket from initial assignment through resolution, handling all aspects of first-party insurance disputes, including: Commercial property and business income claims Residential property insurance disputes First-party bad faith litigation Stowers and excess judgment matters Your responsibilities will include: Developing case strategy and advising insurance carrier clients throughout litigation Drafting pleadings, dispositive motions, written discovery, coverage analyses, and client reports Taking and defending depositions of parties, witnesses, experts, and corporate representatives Appearing in court for hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and other litigation proceedings Managing discovery, motion practice, and all phases of litigation through trial or resolution Collaborating directly with sophisticated claims professionals and in-house representatives from national insurance carriers Building long‑term client relationships through responsiveness, practical legal advice, and excellent communication What We're Looking For: We're interested in attorneys who are confident managing their own files while appreciating the value of collaboration and mentorship. The ideal candidate will have: 5+ years of first-party insurance defense litigation experience Experience representing insurance carriers in coverage and/or bad faith litigation Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills Experience drafting pleadings, motions, written discovery, and client reporting Deposition, hearing, mediation, and settlement experience Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines independently Prior law firm experience (candidates with both firm and in-house backgrounds are encouraged to apply) Our client isn't a firm that measures success by whether you're sitting at your desk every day.
