Buyer II

The Buyer II provides tactical procurement support across PCI's supply chain and business operations, managing supplier relationships, inventory planning, and cost optimization. The role requires negotiating contracts, monitoring purchasing compliance, and supporting manufacturing or indirect business functions to enhance customer service and reduce expenses.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and commercial agreements with suppliers
• Evaluate inventory levels, material lead times, and delivery conditions for availability
• Research and identify suitable suppliers based on pricing, cost-effectiveness, and availability
• Monitor supplier performance metrics and establish productive vendor relationships
• Prepare purchase orders, change notices, and manage purchasing system compliance

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business-related discipline or equivalent experience
• 3-4 years related procurement experience with minimum 1-2 years in GMP environment
• Proficiency with MRP, E-Procurement systems, and Source to Pay processes
• Demonstrated supplier negotiation skills and ability to achieve favorable commercial terms
• Working towards membership in ISM, APICS, or CIPS professional organizations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities in methodical approach

Compensation: $76,000-$85,500 base plus annual performance bonus eligibility
