Make a difference in the lives of students as a Special Education Teacher working with multi-age groups in a supportive school environment. This contract position offers the opportunity to teach at various levels—elementary, middle, high school, and PreK—across multiple sites. You’ll provide instruction in both moderate and co-taught classroom settings, collaborating with a dedicated team to foster student growth and success.

Qualifications:

• Current South Carolina Special Education Teacher License, with Multi-Categorical or appropriate certifications
• Endorsement required for Early Childhood if working with PreK students
• Experience working in moderate, co-taught resource, or self-contained special education settings preferred
• Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues and families
• Flexibility to work across different grade levels (elementary, middle, high school, and PreK)

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Support students in moderate classrooms, co-taught resource settings, or self-contained multi-categorical environments
• Monitor progress, document observations, and participate in IEP meetings
• Maintain a structured, inclusive classroom environment while promoting student independence
• Collaborate with support staff and other educators to maximize student outcomes
• Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and team members
