Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff across levels; coordinate care with other disciplines.
- Collect relevant data, assess needs, develop and implement a plan of care, and evaluate progress toward outcomes.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and the care team; participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
- Document care and patient information in the electronic medical record (EPIC); provide education to patients and families as appropriate.
- Delegate and coordinate duties of the healthcare team to maintain a safe, healing environment and efficient workflow.

Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of practice (California)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification from an approved vendor
- ACLS (AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS) certification required
- Minimum two years of recent acute care nursing experience
- EPIC EMR experience required
- BSN: preferred but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced ER in a hospital setting
