About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Mission to lead the integration of its heritage, tradition, and values into the strategic and operational decision-making processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing mission programs and services, managing the regional mission team, and ensuring that the company's mission and values are reflected in all aspects of its operations. This role requires a deep commitment to the company's mission, vision, and core values, as well as the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders to shape and maintain a culture grounded in the organization's founding principles. The Vice President of Mission will also be involved in the recruitment, selection, and retention of staff, as well as the creation and delivery of programmatic services related to the mission, including spiritual care, ethics, and community engagement. Applicants for the Vice President of Mission position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Catholic theology, health care mission, ethics, or a related field, with a Master's degree completed within three years of hire. A practicing Roman Catholic with a strong foundation in the Catholic theological tradition is essential. The role requires 4-6 years of leadership experience and the ability to work effectively in a complex organizational structure. The ideal candidate will be adept at applying theological and ethical principles to the practical issues encountered in health care, and will have a working knowledge of Catholic social teaching and moral theology. Responsibilities also include engaging in ethical discernment processes, setting advocacy priorities, and ensuring that the company's operations demonstrate a commitment to justice and right relationships.
