General Manager

The General Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, operational performance, and financial success of Arrow Engine Company. This role provides strategic direction and day-to-day management of operations, sales, customer service, inventory, and personnel to ensure the company continues its tradition of delivering reliable equipment, premium parts and exceptional service to customers in the oil and gas and industrial sectors worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

• Develop and execute business strategies aligned with company objectives and growth targets.
• Lead and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve operational and financial goals.
• Foster a culture focused on safety, accountability, customer service and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to identify new market opportunities and expand revenue streams.

Operations Management

• Oversee daily operations involving natural gas engines, compressors, production equipment and related products.
• Ensure efficient workflows across sales, service, production, inventory and distribution functions.
• Monitor operational performance metrics and implement process improvements to increase productivity and quality.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards and company policies.

Financial Management

• Manage budgets, forecasts, and profit-and-loss performance.
• Analyze financial reports and key performance indicators to drive business decisions.
• Control operating costs while maintaining high levels of product quality and customer service.
• Identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency.

Sales & Customer Relations

• Support sales teams in achieving revenue growth and market expansion objectives.
• Maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers and industry partners.
• Ensure customer needs are met through responsive service and reliable product delivery.
• Address major customer concerns and oversee resolution of complex service issues.

Inventory & Supply Chain

• Oversee inventory management to ensure product availability while controlling carrying costs.
• Work closely with purchasing and supplier partners to optimize procurement strategies.
• Ensure timely delivery of equipment, parts and services to customers.

Team Development

• Recruit, develop and retain high-performing employees.
• Conduct performance evaluations and establish development plans.
• Promote employee engagement, safety awareness and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
• 7–10+ years of progressive leadership experience in oil and gas equipment, industrial manufacturing, compression services, engine distribution or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of natural gas engines, compressors, production equipment and aftermarket parts operations preferred.
• Demonstrated experience managing budgets, operations and personnel.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in business analytics, ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in the natural gas compression or power generation industry.
• Knowledge of oil and gas production operations and equipment maintenance.
• Proven track record of improving operational performance and customer satisfaction.
• Experience managing multiple departments.
