Industrial Civil Construction ContractorSpecializing in structural concrete and sitework/earthwork looking for Skilled LaborerUnder the direction of the Superintendent/Foreman a Laborer will be responsible for carrying out logistics, equipment and material handling and assisting with installation of work.Responsibilities and DutiesParticipates in the execution and completion of work, including the following duties:Supply Chain LogisticsTracks and escorts deliveriesInspects quality of materials and signs ticketsMaintains barcode tags for inventory controlMaintains dumpstersMaintains hydration and sanitation stationsProperly designates the location and storage of flammable liquidsEnsures materials and equipment are placed in designated lay-down areasEquipment/MaterialsLoads and unloads trucks.Tracks, inspects, and performs sign-in & sign-out proceduresAssists in inspection of fall protection equipmentPerforms maintenance and repair on equipmentSignals and flags crane and truck operatorsRigs loads for hoistingOperate roller compactorOperate off road dump truckInstallation of WorkCleans columns, walls, floors, tools and equipment during & after pours.Responsible for general housekeeping of worksiteServes as a confined space attendantServes as designated "fire watch" for welding and other hot work applicationsGR Birdwell Construction offers:health care for employee and family and after one year of employment, pays employee portion of health care costretirement savings plansopportunities for craft developmentCompensation is based on experience
