Senior Strategy Consultant

Career Area: Sales Senior Strategy Consultant – Enterprise Strategy Team What You Will Do Develop high-quality strategic options and recommendations for topics critical to enterprise strategy and growth. Synthesize qualitative and quantitative data from internal Caterpillar businesses, third‑party sources, and external expert interviews to derive insightful conclusions that maximize business impact and support strategic decision making. Build and create financial models, data visualizations and presentations that clearly communicate strategic recommendations with data to support conclusions. Present findings and insights to key company leaders to inform and influence Caterpillar’s future direction. Voice and challenge strategic concerns constructively when necessary. What You Have Education: Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Engineering. 3‑5+ years of professional experience in corporate strategy, consulting, finance, operations, engineering management, data analytics, research, or decision sciences. Demonstrated excellence in problem solving, analytical, quantitative, and conceptual thinking. Business acumen: knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes for sound decision making in a corporate environment. Effective communication skills: ability to transmit, receive, and interpret ideas, information, and needs accurately. Strategic thinking: ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to maintain focus on key success factors. Consulting knowledge: knowledge of techniques, roles and responsibilities for providing technical or business guidance. What Will Set You Apart MBA or master’s degree from a top‑tier program. Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills and experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.). Experience at a recognized strategy consulting firm, investment bank or corporate strategy group of a high‑performing corporation. Professional experience in industrials, heavy equipment, automotive, or similar industries. Summary Pay Range $128,470.00 – $192,710.00. Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
