Medical Support Assistant

Job Description Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for Medical Support Assistantto join our dynamic team at the Veterans Affairs Sierra Nevada Healthcare System, in Las Vegas, NV. Work Hours: 40 hours per week. Duties: Scheduling appointments accurately from provider orders and consults, while reviewing and communicating patient prep instructions. Managing high-volume inbound and outbound calls and providing exceptional customer service to Veterans and healthcare staff. Documenting patient information, creating notes, processing consults, and maintaining sensitive information within electronic medical records (EMR). Performing front desk and patient check-in/check-out functions efficiently to improve patient flow and reduce wait times. Supporting radiology administration functions, including CD processing, virtual file room activities, provider communications, and general administrative support. Requirements: Communicates with all internal and external customers in a courteous, positive, open, honest, cooperative manner, and treats all with dignity and respect.
