We are seeking a visionary leader to oversee the clinical aspects of our expanding cell and gene therapy initiative. This role will involve shaping the strategic direction, ensuring compliance, and fostering program development in a dynamic and rapidly advancing field.

The organization is looking for a physician leader to take on the role of Clinical Director for Cell and Gene Therapy within the Department of Medical and Molecular Genetics. This is a remarkable chance to influence a well-established program at a crucial juncture, as the department outlines its long-term vision and growth strategy.

The program boasts a successful viral vector manufacturing facility and testing laboratory, built on a solid foundation of gene therapy with a history of NIH-supported projects. Following recent leadership changes and funding adjustments, we are in search of a leader who can provide vision, clinical expertise, and strategic guidance for the next phase of development.

The Cell and Gene Therapy program is integrated within a comprehensive Department of Medical and Molecular Genetics, backed by robust clinical and research infrastructure. Key responsibilities include:

• Defining the clinical and programmatic scope while supporting regulatory and compliance processes.
• Fostering alignment among stakeholders and identifying growth and innovation opportunities.
• Enhancing integration with clinical and laboratory teams.

• Board-certified or board-eligible MD, or MD/PhD.
• Experience in translational cell and gene therapy, immunotherapy, or related fields.
• Familiarity with clinical regulatory and compliance environments (FDA or equivalent).
• Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication abilities.
• Interest in program development and academic medicine.
