About the Job

VKB Homes is a fast-growing, systems-driven residential remodeling company serving the Fox Valley. As demand continues to rise, we're looking for a Lead Carpenter / High-Level Carpenter who takes pride in craftsmanship, ownership, and leadership on the jobsite.

This is not a "show up and swing a hammer" role.

We're looking for someone who can lead projects, solve problems, and elevate the people around them.

As a Lead Carpenter, you will:

Lead jobsite execution for remodels and custom residential projects.
Own quality control from demo to finish.
Mentor and guide junior carpenters and laborers.
Coordinate with Project Managers and trade partners.
Ensure jobs stay on schedule and up to VKB standards.
Handle framing, finish carpentry, installs, and problem-solving in the field.
Communicate professionally with clients when needed.

You are the person who makes sure the job gets done right.

What We're Looking For:

5+ years residential construction experience preferred.
Strong finish carpentry skills.
Ability to read plans and execute independently.
Leadership mindset, not just task completion.
Detail-oriented with pride in craftsmanship.
Solution-driven (not excuse-driven).
Clean, organized jobsite habits.
Valid driver's license.
