Job Title: Registered Nurse - ICU Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36 or 48 hours per week Experience: Preferred acute care facility experience License: Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS Must-Have: Experience with EPIC and Cerner Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment. Collects relevant data pertinent to patients' health or situation. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implements the care plan and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes for the patients or their situations. Collaborates with the team of patients, families, and healthcare providers in providing care. Provides learning opportunities for patients and family members. Directly provides health information to patients, families, and treatment teams. Participates in discharge planning to provide continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Commits to the safety and wellbeing of associates and patients, requiring all associates to receive required vaccinations. Adheres to relevant policies and guidelines throughout employment.
