About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36 or 48 hours per week Experience: Preferred experience in acute care facility License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice Certifications: - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor - AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS Must-Have: Experience with EPIC and Cerner Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and professional discretion. Employs independent judgment in patient care decision-making. Collects relevant data pertinent to patient health. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develops a care plan with prescribed interventions to achieve desired outcomes. Implements the care plan and coordinates care delivery. Employs strategies to promote health and maintain a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward achieving patient outcomes. Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure safe and humane care. Provides educational opportunities for patients, families, and team members. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegates tasks appropriately and coordinates team members' duties. Performs other job-related responsibilities as assigned. Commits to the safety and well-being of associates and patients. Ensures compliance with vaccination requirements. Participates in E-Verify as a condition of employment. Engages in ongoing communication and collaboration with healthcare team members. Utilizes advanced medical technology and participates in specialty procedures as required. Demonstrates flexibility in scheduling to meet patient care needs on weekends. Provides high-acuity patient care alongside skilled medical professionals.
