Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled, hands-on  Residential Handyman / Property Improvement Lead to help manage and complete residential repairs, renovations, remodels, and general property improvement projects.

This role is ideal for someone with strong practical construction experience who can work independently, solve problems on-site, and complete a wide variety of hands-on tasks. The right candidate should be comfortable performing the work directly while also coordinating with subcontractors, vendors, and ownership when needed.

The person in this position will be expected to actively complete repairs, improvements, punch-list items, remodel work, finish work, and general construction tasks.

Responsibilities

• Complete hands-on residential repairs, maintenance, and improvement projects
• Perform general handyman work, including basic carpentry, repairs, drywall, painting, hardware installation, punch work, and minor remodel tasks
• Assist with renovations, remodels, additions, and property upgrades
• Troubleshoot issues on-site and determine practical repair solutions
• Complete or assist with framing, finish carpentry, trim work, doors, cabinets, flooring, and general construction tasks
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, materials, and schedules when needed
• Read and follow scopes of work, project notes, basic plans, and construction documents
• Monitor quality, workmanship, and job progress
• Keep projects moving efficiently and communicate delays or issues promptly
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas
• Communicate professionally with ownership, clients, crews, and subcontractors
• Support project closeout, final punch lists, and quality checks

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on residential construction, handyman, maintenance, or remodeling experience
• Strong practical repair and construction skills
• Experience with residential repairs, remodels, renovations, and property maintenance
• Ability to complete work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong finish work, carpentry, and detail-oriented repair experience preferred
• Working knowledge of residential construction methods, tools, materials, and quality standards
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and find practical solutions
• Experience coordinating with subcontractors or vendors preferred
• Ability to read basic plans, scopes of work, and construction notes
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with finish work in custom homes, rental properties, remodels, or residential property improvement projects
• Basic estimating or materials budgeting experience
• Knowledge of permitting, inspections, and code compliance
• Ability to manage multiple repair or improvement projects at once
• Experience leading small crews or coordinating subcontractors

Compensation

$50,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year, depending on experience
