Tax Senior- LLCs, High Net Worth Pass Through Entities

We have partnered with a boutique-style and family operated accounting firm in the lovely city of Charleston, South Carolina. A bustling job economy, great prices on homes, and a super family friendly beach town vibe makes Charleston such a great place to live.

This is a firm that truly values work life balance, puts employees first, and doesn't micro manage hours like some firms. The partners are looking for an tax senior associate on a fast track to tax manager soon, and that handle a variety of tax prep and review for a variety of local area businesses.

About the Role:

• Pay: $110,000- $130,000 (could be more commensurate with experience)
• Prep and review tax returns for various entities, businesses, high net worth individuals, pass through entities, C-Corps, S-Corps, and Partnerships.
• Enter this information into a variety of prep software programs like CCH, Pro System, and Ultra Tax
• Ensure all business tax returns are filed in accordance with Firm guidelines as well as ensuring federal regulations are met
• Work with the IRS at times for any resolutions needed
• Work well with the partners for any tax work needed and assist any junior staff on their prep and review

What you will bring:

• Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, stats, business administration or related field
• CPA eligible, CPA license currently, or in progress is ideal, EA is also a plus. or working to obtain the EA
• 3-4 years of solid tax prep and review experience in a local accounting environment, Big firm, regional firm, or equivalent firm doing daily tax prep and review work on multiple entities and VIP clients
• Very proficient with various tax software programs
• Understanding of tax laws and ability to be in a fast paced tax environment to get work done efficiently

Job Details:

• Full time Monday through Friday
• Hours capped in busy season unlike a lot of firms where you may work 70-80 hours a week
• Salary: $110,000- $130,000
