Player Assistants At Wild Ridge Golf Club

Landscapes Golf Management and Wild Ridge Golf Club are seeking friendly and customer-focused Player Assistants to manage the pace of play during the upcoming golf season. These are part time seasonal roles.

Wild Ridge is a links style course that provides the only true Championship golf experience in the Chippewa Valley. Golfers and non-golfers alike can enjoy the spectacular views, dramatic elevations changes, immaculate course conditions, local wildlife including deer, turkeys and eagles, and as well as incredible sunsets from the clubhouse overlooking the back 9.

JOB SUMMARY

Ensures that the golf course maintains a good pace of play. Monitors the play and attends to the service needs of golfers.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

1. Marshalls the golf course; drive the course, monitors pace of play and ensures all golfers are observing course and cart rules, talk to players and assist players when needed.
2. Greets players on the first tee. Checks receipts and provides guests with information relative to the course. Starts players off per their scheduled tee time.
3. Checks water coolers and refills if necessary. Inspects restrooms and restocks items as necessary. Provides clean towels and water for ball washers.
4. Ensures divots are replaced, ball marks repaired and sand traps are raked.
5. Assist with the return of carts.
6. Demonstrates a commitment to the work and success of the Company by being solution-oriented, having positive interactions with all team members and meeting customer service standards set by management.
7. Performs additional assignments per the direction of the club or Company managers.
8. Regular and punctual attendance on site for all scheduled shifts is required.

REQUIREMENTS

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

1. Knowledge of and/or the ability to play the game of golf.
2. Ability to operate golf carts in a safe manner
3. Must be able to communicate verbally to members.
4. Able to provide a high level of customer service with attention to detail

WORK HOURS AND CONDITIONS

Work hours may include early mornings and evenings on weekdays, weekends and holidays. Subject to inside and outside environmental conditions. May be exposed to inclement (non-threatening) weather, plant protection products, fertilizers, misdirected golf balls, and sharp and rapid equipment movement on a daily basis. Injury may result from exposure to the above if safety policies and practices are not properly followed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

1. High School Diploma or GED
2. Previous experience in a customer service role preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Seeing and hearing: read documents, computer screen, answer phones, communicate in person 0-24%
• Standing and walking 0-24%
• Climbing, stooping, squatting and kneeling 0-24%
• Dexterity: utilizing phone, typing, writing and driving 50-75%
• Lift in excess of 25 pounds 0-24%
