Maintenance Assistant Lake Placid Health & Rehab Lake Placid, FL Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Lake Placid Health and Rehabilitation Center! As a Maintenance Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility by performing routine maintenance, repairs, and upkeep tasks. Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, painting, and repairing equipment, fixtures, and facilities. Conduct electrical, plumbing, and HVAC inspections to identify potential issues and perform necessary repairs. Assist with the installation and replacement of medical equipment, furniture, and fixtures. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including repairs, maintenance, and inventory management. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and respond to requests in a timely and efficient manner. Participate in training programs to stay up-to-date on industry standards and best practices. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in maintenance or a related field preferred. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver equipment and materials as needed. Work Environment: Our facility is a 180-bed skilled nursing facility in a peaceful and friendly setting, directly across the street from AdventHealth Lake Placid.
