Senior Tax Accountant

We're partnering with a rapidly growing CPA firm in Northern New Jersey that is investing heavily in its tax practice and looking to add a Senior Tax Accountant to its team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative firm where you'll work directly with Partners, gain exposure to a diverse client base, and have a clear path for career progression. What You'll Be Doing Prepare and review complex federal, state, and multi-state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S Corporations, and C Corporations. Manage a diverse portfolio of closely held businesses and high-net-worth individual clients. Perform tax planning, projections, estimated tax calculations, and extension filings. Research complex federal and state tax issues and provide practical solutions to clients. Build strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the year. Review work prepared by junior staff and provide coaching and technical guidance. Work closely with Partners on consulting projects, entity structuring, and tax-saving strategies. Stay current on changing tax legislation and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. What We're Looking For 3+ years of recent public accounting tax experience. Experience preparing and reviewing: Individual (1040) Partnership (1065) S Corporation (1120S) C Corporation (1120) Multi-state tax returns Strong understanding of federal and state tax compliance. Experience with tax planning and client advisory work is highly desirable. Excellent communication and client relationship skills. CPA licence or CPA track preferred.
