The Position

A highly regarded national law firm is seeking a Labor & Employment Associate to join its Chicago office. This is an opportunity to work with sophisticated employers on a broad range of complex employment matters, including employment litigation, workplace counseling, wage and hour issues, restrictive covenant disputes, internal investigations, and other high-stakes labor and employment matters.

The associate will have meaningful responsibility from day one, working directly with clients and experienced attorneys on matters ranging from day-to-day employment advice to complex disputes and litigation. The role offers substantial opportunities to develop litigation, counseling, and client-management skills within a sophisticated and growing practice.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
\n
• Admission to the Illinois Bar, or eligibility for prompt admission.
\n
• Experience in labor and employment law, preferably within a large or nationally recognized law firm.
\n
• Experience with employment litigation, wage and hour matters, restrictive covenants, workplace investigations, or employment counseling.
\n
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
\n
• Ability to manage multiple matters and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
