This isn't a place where you'll inherit a rigid playbook; you'll help build it.The Mission for this Position: Partnering directly with the Director of Accounting, you'll bring structure, consistency, and timely review to day-to-day operations and, just as importantly, you'll have a real hand in designing the processes and procedures themselves.The immediate priority is to create repeatable reconciliation and review processes that catch errors early, before they become problems. Long-term, you'll help define and scale best practices for the department. Demonstrates a love for aviation and a drive to deliver exceptional results.• Team Alignment: Works collaboratively across departments, aligning goals and actions with the broader team to ensure seamless operations.• Deliver the Wow: Creates memorable and high-impact experiences for customers, colleagues, and partners by exceeding expectations.• Solutions Focused: Approaches challenges with a proactive, problem-solving mindset to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.QualificationsJob Responsibilities:• Own and systematize the account reconciliation process by developing repeatable monthly procedures and review checkpoints• Help design, implement, and continuously improve accounting processes, procedures, and controls as the business scales• Identify opportunities to leverage technology, automation, and AI within accounting and finance operations, partnering with leadership to implement solutions• Review the work product of the accounting team, identifying and correcting errors on a timely basis• Support monthly and quarterly close processes, including preparation and review of journal entries and supporting schedules• Provide technical accounting support through research, documentation, and application of GAAP• Drive NetSuite optimization, automation, and process-improvement initiatives alongside the Director of Accounting• Prepare account analyses and assist with audit preparation and compliance activities• Provide guidance, training, and quality review for accounting staffQualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience• 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience• Strong technical accounting foundation and working knowledge of GAAP• Demonstrated accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational/project-management instincts• Comfort with technology and an interest in applying it (including AI tools ) to accounting work• Experience reviewing others' work and driving process improvement (preferred)• Ability to work onsite in the Salt Lake City metro area (onsite during onboarding, with hybrid possible thereafter)• CPA or active CPA candidate (preferred)• Aviation or related industry experience (preferred)Skills:• Systems-thinking mindset with a genuine drive to build, improve, and optimize processes• Comfortable questioning \"the way it's always been done\" and identifying better solutions• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), bookkeeping principles, methods, and procedures, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, organizational skills, and project management abilities• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with a commitment to continuous learning, innovation, and improvement• Strong work ethic, self-motivation, professionalism, integrity, confidentiality, and business/computer acumen• NetSuite experience (strongly preferred)Salary, Schedule, and Perks:• Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 annually, depending on experience• Schedule: Business Hours• Health Benefits: Medical, Dental, and Vision plans available• Life Insurance: Employer-paid for your peace of mind, with optional additional coverage available• Retirement: 401(k) Plan with employer match options• Time Off: Competitive paid time off policy• Travel Perks: Enjoy free flights on unoccupied tripsLocation:• This position is initially based at our HQ in Salt Lake City, UT, with some travel to Ogden as needed• We are open to a hybrid position long-termTo learn more about SkyShare and explore our open positions, please visit our website at . #J-18808-Ljbffr
