Sr Accountant Full Time Clerical LOGANVILLE, GA, US 4 days ago Requisition ID: 1016 Salary Range: $70,000.00 To $85,000.00 Annually Position Title: Senior Accountant Exemption Classification: Exempt Reports To: Accounting Manager Summary/Objective TheSeniorAccountanttakestheleadroleinensuring TOMCO’saccountingrecordsandreportsareaccurate, complete, timely, prepared in accordance with GAAP and consistent with corporate policy. This position is primarily responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all financial statements, preparation of timely reporting and supporting reconciliations. This position also assists in researching and resolving issues related to cost accounting, development of internal processes and controls, forecasting, capital project analysis and completion of external audits.This position will have heavy exposure to accounting in a manufacturing environment.Job costing, standard costing, percentage of completion and inventory valuation are some examples of topics that will be encountered. Essential Functions Participateinmonth-endclosing:preparingmonth-endreports,reconcilingaccounts,creating,and posting journal entries, and analyzing and explaining variances. EnsurecompliancewithGAAP,Corporatepolicies,andinternalcontrolrequirements. Abilitywithlimitedsupporttoassessandunderstandcomplexbusinessactivitiesandtransactions ResearchandresolveERPsystemissuesandsupportvariousinformationsystemdevelopment, conversion, and implementation tasks. Coordinateandprepareworkpapers,schedulesandanalysisforforecasts,budgets,longrangeplans, external auditors, and consultants. Createneworrevisereportsandanalysistomeetmanagementandend-userneeds. Supportintegrationandstandardizationofaccountingandreportingpoliciesandprocedures. Analyzesaccountingrecords,includingfinancialstatementsandotherfinancialreportstoassess financial performance of the business and measure productivity. Participatesinvariousotheraccountingactivitiesorprojectsasnecessaryand/oractasabackupto others within the department. Promotesthehigh-performanceworkteamculturebyservingasarolemodelinaccountabilityand results orientation. ExperiencewithERPSystems(Syteline) CostAccounting EthicalConduct&Practice BusinessAcumen Communication CriticalEvaluation Relationship Management LearningAgility Thisjoboperatesinanofficesetting.Thisroleroutinelyusesstandardofficeequipmentsuchascomputer equipment, phones, scanners, and copiers. PhysicalDemands This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filingcabinetsandbendorstandona stool,asnecessary.HighvolumesofPCworkassociatedwithreporting, accounting, and financial statement production. PositionType/ExpectedHoursofWork Thisisa full-timeposition. Officehoursare Monday through Friday 8:00a.m. to5p.m. Someflexibility in hoursis allowed,buttheemployeemustbeavailableduringthe“core”workhoursof9:30 a.m.to3:30p.m.andmust work 40 hours each week to maintain full time status. Travel Noregulartravelisexpectedforthisposition.Intermittenttripsmayberequired;notexpectedtoexceed10%. RequiredEducationandExperience Bachelor’s degree in accounting or comparable equivalent.Three to five years of experience in a manufacturingenvironmentwithCostAccountingandwell-roundedERPsoftwareexperiencepreferred. PreferredEducationandExperience CMA,MBAorCPAdesignation WorkAuthorization EligibilitytoworkintheU.S.withtheappropriateworkauthorizationdocumentation.
