Commercial Litigation - Legal Practice Assistant

We're seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized legal professional to provide high-level administrative and legal support to attorneys and practice teams. This role supports legal operations, client service, document management, technology initiatives, and business development while managing multiple priorities with discretion and professionalism.

This position requires employees to be in the office five days per week for the first 30 days, then three days per week thereafter.

What You'll Do

- Provide proactive support with calendars, scheduling, travel, meetings, communications, and deadlines.
- Prepare, format, edit, proofread, and manage legal documents, correspondence, presentations, and client materials.
- Monitor attorney workloads, deadlines, assignments, and follow-up activities to ensure timely completion.
- Maintain accurate files, client information, legal databases, and document management systems.
- Coordinate with attorneys, clients, paralegals, business professionals, vendors, and internal teams to support client matters.
- Assist with client meetings, events, proposals, presentations, business development activities, and attorney transitions.
- Support billing and administrative processes, including time entry, invoices, expenses, and client intake.
- Assist with technology initiatives, workflow management, process improvements, and operational projects.
- Maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and consistently represent the firm with professionalism.

What You'll Bring

- Strong administrative and legal support experience in a law firm, legal department, or professional services environment.
- Excellent organizational, time-management, communication, writing, proofreading, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, document management systems, workflow tools, and other legal technology.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships with attorneys, clients, and colleagues.
- Excellent judgment, initiative, problem-solving skills, discretion, and commitment to confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Five-plus years of legal or professional services administrative experience preferred.
- Experience supporting senior-level attorneys, executives, or professional teams preferred.
- Familiarity with legal operations, compliance, CRM systems, document management, or process improvement initiatives.

This position may be filled in the following location. The listed compensation range reflects the typical pay for this role, though it is rare for new hires to receive an offer at the top of the range. Actual compensation may vary depending on experience, skills, market conditions, and internal equity.

Washington state compensation range: $63,240 to $113,830 annually
