Senior Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant in Greer, SC to support financial operations and reporting. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of key accounting processes, collaborate with leadership, and play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records and reporting. This is a full time, permanent/direct hire position with full benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the full accounts payable process, including invoice review, coding verification, approvals, and payment processing
- Oversee customer billing activities, post payments, investigate discrepancies, and support collections efforts for outstanding balances
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure account accuracy
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and supporting subledgers
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports for management review
- Support internal controls, compliance initiatives, and financial documentation processes
- Coordinate with external accounting and tax advisors regarding year-end reporting and tax-related matters
- Develop ad hoc financial, operational, and administrative reports as needed
- Participate in process improvements, special projects, and other initiatives that support business growth
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred
- 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience, including month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and accounting best practices
- Experience with accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
