RN - CVOR

13 weeks, 4 ten-hour shifts, 08/31.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document perioperative nursing care for CVOR cases with accuracy.

• Monitor patient safety, vitals, and anesthesia progression during surgery.

• Document and track outcomes against predefined KPIs and targets.

• Adhere to hospital policies, regulatory standards, and safety protocols.

• Assist surgical team with instrument handling and sterile technique.

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time case flow.

• Provide post-anesthesia care and ensure safe handoff to recovery team.

• Engage in performance conversations and use data to support merit-based advancement.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency.

• Maintain accurate inventory and assist with instrument counts and recalls.

• Participate in continuous education and participate in growth initiatives.

Experience/Qualifications

• Current RN license with valid CVOR-specific perioperative certification.

• Active perioperative nursing experience in CVOR or equivalent surgical setting.

• Proficient intraoperative monitoring of patient vitals and anesthesia progression.

• Strong documentation skills for perioperative care and KPI tracking.

• Adherence to sterile technique, instrument handling, and count procedures.

• Ability to coordinate case flow with cross-functional teams to meet targets.

• Post-anesthesia care planning and safe handoff to recovery team.

• Engagement in performance conversations and merit-based advancement.

• Identify and participate in process improvement to boost efficiency.

• Accurate inventory management, instrument counts, and recalls handling.
