Registered Nurse Cardiac Cath LAB

Overview We are seeking a cath lab nurse who is dedicated to delivering exceptional cardiac care. This role offers flexible weekends and holidays, with emergent on‑call duties when duty calls. Responsibilities Take lead on patient care: prioritizing, coordinating, and delegating all care touchpoints. Explain procedures to patients and families as appropriate. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members and physicians to ensure excellent patient care and outcomes. Maintain and advocate a safe environment for everyone. Monitor and engage with patients, families, and care team members concerning significant events, patient condition changes, or concerns. Execute Joint Commission infection control and environment of care requirements. Ensure continuity of care, efficient throughput, consistent communication, and an exceptional experience for every patient. Advise and consult with supervisor when unable to complete assignments or perform tasks promptly, effectively, or safely. Initiate patient and family education using appropriate resources and continuum of care services. Assist team members without being asked. Qualifications Current nursing license to practice in Louisiana as defined by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing. Current American Heart Association BLS certification. Current ACLS certification. Current PALS certification. Preferred: BSN, experience in an acute care hospital.
