Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Operating Room Surgical Technologist (CST) for a 13-week contract assignment at a prestigious Heart Hospital. This role requires recent experience in Open Hearts, Vascular, and Endovascular procedures.

Shift Details

Shift: 06:30 AM - 05:00 PM
Schedule: 4 ten-hour shifts per week
On Call Requirements: On call one week night per week and one weekend per month
Weekends: Rotation for on-call weekends

Unit Information

The assignment will take place in the Surgery department at a Heart Hospital, located in Austin, TX, on the first floor.

Staff Composition: Day Shift - example: 1 Charge Nurse, 3 RNs, 2 CNAs, and 1-3 Sitters

Position Requirements

Must Have:
- CVOR CST experience
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in CABG, Aortic/Mitral Valve Repair/Replacement, AAA Endovascular & Open, AV Fistula creation/revision/thrombectomy, HDC, CAPD, BBT, TAVR, TMVR, MitraClip

Additional Information

Dress Code: Scrubs will be provided.
Permanent Positions Availability: Yes, for CVOR CST (not currently open for CVOR RNs).
Unit Equipment: Surgical instruments, bovie cautery, EVH video tower, laparoscopic video tower, surgical tourniquet, IABP console, Impella console, cryo system, patient warming/cooling system.
