Activities/Life Enrichment Assistant

Join our Global Pointe Senior Living team today as a part-time Activities/Life Enrichment Assistant! We are looking for someone interested in work up to 32 hours per pay period. We are looking for someone who is interested in working in the afternoons/early evenings and every other weekend. Hours are days are flexible. Job Objective(s): Responsible to assist in planning and leading a variety of activity programs designed to meet the resident's social, physical, mental, emotional, and sensory needs. Part-time hours on the weekend.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1-year activities experience preferred in independent retirement, assisted living, adult day services or long-term care facility serving a senior population.
• Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to use basic Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) computer programs.
• Creativity in developing and planning activity programs.
• Group leadership and interpersonal skills to lead one on one, small, and large group activities.
• Able to make responsible choices and decisions, and act in a resident's best interest.
• Strong organizational skills
• Good work ethic
• Maintains confidentiality.
• Able to read, write, spell, do basic math, speak and understand English

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Responsible for assisting with planning, promotion, and facilitating/leading each event or program.
• Support development of monthly Activity Calendar of Events.
• Lead small, large and one on one activity programs with seniors.
• Accompany residents on field trips as assigned.
• Work cooperatively with assigned volunteers and direct their assignments to support the resident programming.
• Other duties as assigned.
