Guided by the Medtronic Mission—to alleviate pain, restore health, and extend life—we are building a more connected ICT organization that leverages the strength of our people, capabilities, and portfolio to drive meaningful impact for patients, physicians, and healthcare systems.In this highly visible role as a Quality Core Team Member - Software Quality, you will serve as the primary Quality representative on cross-functional software product development teams, partnering with engineering, regulatory, clinical, and operations stakeholders to ensure quality is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle.You will provide quality leadership for software design controls, risk management, verification and validation activities, cybersecurity, defect management, and product release decisions while ensuring compliance with global quality system and regulatory requirements.As a trusted member of the Core Team, you will help drive alignment, proactively manage risk, and enable effective decision-making across complex development programs.You will also partner with Quality Systems, Regulatory, and functional stakeholders to further evolve the Quality Management System (QMS), enabling software innovation while ensuring continued compliance with global regulatory standards and industry best practices.This role requires deep technical expertise, leadership, and collaboration skills to balance innovation, quality, compliance, and speed to market. This includes, but is not limited to the following:Responsible for program estimation and planning including identifying requirements, developing work plans, managing program annual and strategic budgets, building schedules, and partnering with team members to determine and communicate functional and/or resource requirements.Own and Manage execution against an aggressive but achievable program and/or project plan, provide work direction to team members, work with peer program managers, cross functional program team members to monitor dependencies and ensure critical program milestones and deliverables are met.Collaborate with Core Team Leaders, Platform Leaders, Product Owners, Human Factors Engineer, Architects & Systems Engineers to drive program within scope, cost, and scheduleLead team(s) of software engineers (employees and vendor resources) to deliver on program commitmentsCommunicate program status and issues to internal and external stakeholders regularly including the Core Tam Leader and Development Lead in the Program Core Team as appropriate.
