Process Control Training SpecialistThe Process Control Training Specialist is responsible for delivering high-quality technical training to customers, channel partners, and internal personnel on process instrumentation and industrial automation technologies. This customer-facing role develops and delivers classroom, virtual, and hands-on training focused on the installation, configuration, commissioning, operation, troubleshooting, calibration, and maintenance of industrial instrumentation.Working closely with Sales, Service, Marketing, and manufacturing partners, the Process Control Training Specialist ensures customers receive practical, application-focused training that improves equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and workforce competency while supporting the organization's training initiatives.The position is based in Greenwood, IN.Essential ResponsibilitiesCustomer Training & Technical EducationDeliver instructor-led technical training at company facilities, customer sites, and virtual platforms.Conduct hands-on training covering installation, configuration, commissioning, diagnostics, troubleshooting, calibration, and maintenance of instrumentation.Train customers on modern device configuration software, Ethernet-based industrial communications, and industry best practices.Evaluate customer knowledge and tailor training programs to meet specific application and operational requirements.Promote safe work practices and proper instrumentation lifecycle management.Curriculum DevelopmentDevelop, maintain, and continuously improve technical training materials, presentations, student guides, laboratory exercises, and competency assessments.Update course content to reflect new products, software revisions, communication technologies, and industry standards.Collaborate with manufacturing partners to incorporate current product information and technical resources.Customer Support & Program DevelopmentSupport Sales and Service teams by providing technical expertise and customer training solutions.Assist Marketing with promoting scheduled training classes.Measure training effectiveness through written and practical evaluations and recommend follow-up training as needed.Identify opportunities to expand customer training offerings based on industry trends and customer needs.Perform other duties as assigned.TravelTravel to company locations, customer facilities, and manufacturer training centers is required on an as-needed basis. Up to 50% overnight travel may be required depending on customer schedules and training facility locations.QualificationsEducationAssociate degree in Engineering Technology, Instrumentation, Electronics, Industrial Automation, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience7+ years of experience in process instrumentation, industrial automation, field service, technical support, or applications engineering.Experience commissioning, configuring, and troubleshooting industrial instrumentation.Previous customer training, mentoring, or instructional experience preferred.Core CompetenciesCustomer-focused communication and relationship buildingTechnical expertise in flow, level, pressure, temperature, and analytical instrumentationInstrument commissioning, startup, and diagnosticsEthernet-based industrial communications and device configuration softwareStrong presentation, facilitation, and public speaking skillsOrganization, planning, and project managementContinuous learning and commitment to emerging technologiesPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periods while conducting training.Ability to lift and transport training equipment up to 40 pounds.Ability to travel by automobile and commercial airline as required.Ability to work safely in industrial environments while using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).What We ProvideCompetitive pay and comprehensive benefits.
