Work Environment

The work environment is dynamic and collaborative, facilitating communication between healthcare professionals. You will work onsite in a rehabilitation facility designed to provide a comforting and motivational atmosphere for patients. Your colleagues will include orthopedic physicians, physician assistants, and nursing staff, all striving toward a common goal: optimal patient outcomes. Our clinic operates Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients presenting with orthopedic conditions such as sports injuries, postoperative rehabilitation cases, and chronic pain syndromes.
• Create and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices tailored to each patient's unique needs and goals.
• Utilize advanced manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and functional training methods to enhance patients' mobility, strength, and overall function.
• Provide education to patients regarding injury prevention strategies, proper movement mechanics, and effective home exercise regimens.
• Collaborate closely with orthopedic physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care and to optimize treatment effectiveness.
• Regularly monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to meet rehabilitation goals using our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
• Stay informed of the latest advancements in physical therapy and rehabilitation techniques, incorporating new knowledge into practice to enhance patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be patients recovering from a variety of orthopedic conditions, such as sports injuries, chronic pain, and post-surgical rehabilitation. This diverse patient population requires not only clinical expertise but also a compassionate and engaging approach to help motivate them through their recovery process.

Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapy license in the state of New Jersey.
• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or equivalent.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective patient interaction and collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Ability to establish rapport with patients and their families, enhancing their overall experience and satisfaction.
• Capable of developing and implementing patient-specific treatment plans addressing both physical and emotional aspects of recovery.
• Eagerness to work independently and as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience, preferably in an outpatient or rehabilitation setting.
• Experience with a diverse range of orthopedic conditions and an understanding of various therapeutic interventions related to physical therapy.
• Familiarity with EMR systems to maintain accurate and efficient documentation of patient care.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, paid time off, and 401k options.
