Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours per Week Guaranteed | Rotating Weekends | No Call Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical/Surgical unit serving adult and geriatric populations
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:6 in an 18-bed unit setting
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using Meditech EHR
• Float to other units as required to support staffing needs
• Participate in weekly Monday orientations at the start of the assignment
• Demonstrate ownership of the position and function as a collaborative team member

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Alabama or compact state eligibility
• Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience (5 years strongly preferred)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Proficiency or ability to quickly adapt to Meditech EHR
• Willingness and ability to float to other units as needed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 5 or more years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
• Prior travel nursing experience in an acute care setting
• Familiarity with adult and geriatric patient populations in a hospital environment
