Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical (Nights)

Contract | Night Shift | Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a general Medical Surgical setting, including renal, transplant, and urology patient populations
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:5–6 in a 22-bed unit
• Document and manage patient care using EPIC EMR
• Float across multiple campuses as assigned
• Participate in on-call and charge/preceptor duties as needed
• Work 1–2 winter holidays as required, including the ability to work Thanksgiving

Required Qualifications

• Active Iowa RN license or compact/multistate license at time of submission
• BLS certification from AHA (American Heart Association) or ARC (American Red Cross) required
• Minimum 24 months of Medical Surgical experience in a hospital or medical center setting
• Experience in renal, urology, and transplant care required
• At least one travel contract completed within the previous 15 months
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Level II trauma experience required
• Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility to be eligible (verified by driver's license)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Past or current Level I trauma center experience highly preferred
• Strong background in renal and urology nursing
• Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months
