Substitute Teacher

Mooresville Christian Academy is a thriving, growing Christian school dedicated to academic excellence and spiritual growth. We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as substitute teachers. This role is essential in maintaining a positive, structured, and productive environment for students while following lesson plans and school procedures. Responsibilities: Deliver instruction based on lesson plans provided by the classroom teacher or school staff. Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment. Manage classroom behavior in alignment with school policies. Take attendance and monitor student participation throughout the day. Adapt to different grade levels, subjects, and classroom settings as needed. Communicate important classroom updates to the appropriate school personnel. Ensure students remain on task and complete assigned work. Support school routines, transitions, and daily procedures. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in education is preferred. Experience working with children or students in an educational setting is preferred. Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills. Ability to follow instructions, adapt quickly, and remain calm under pressure. Professional demeanor and a commitment to student success. Preferred Attributes: Flexible and dependable with a positive attitude. Comfortable working with diverse student populations. Ability to build rapport quickly with students and staff. Strong problem-solving skills and good judgment. What to Expect: This position may involve working across multiple classrooms, grade levels, or subject areas depending on school needs. Assignments may be short-term or long-term, offering variety and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student learning.
