Interior Designer - Senior

Position Overview We’re seeking a Senior Interior Designer to join our project team for the design of a confidential integrated resort—a landmark destination envisioned to redefine the relationship between architecture, landscape, and experience. Spanning over one million square feet, the project will blend casino, food and beverage, and hotel environments with over 75,000 square feet of special venue space, including an award-winning steakhouse, a rooftop bar, a collection of one‑of‑a‑kind lounges and entertainment venues, and a world‑class spa. The resort will also feature a championship golf course that connects the built environment to its natural setting in a seamless and dramatic way. The guest tower celebrates 500 guest rooms, culminating in a range of scale and luxury experiences, highlighted by the sky suites, offering panoramic views and elevated private experiences. This project embodies the ambition to create an immersive, contemporary, and unforgettable destination in every detail. Your Role As a Gensler Senior Interior Designer, your job is to combine creativity and technical skills with a thorough understanding of the design and production process, in order to produce highly creative, environmentally conscious and budget responsive spaces for clients. Lead interior design assignments that include detailed programming, conceptual design, space planning, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration. Provide strategically minded design support for organization, production, and execution of design projects. Participate in seamless collaboration with internal and external core & shell teams, professional consultants and other strategic partners. Generate 3‑D modeling, using Revit, SketchUp, Enscape and/or other modeling or rendering software in conjunction with Adobe Creative Suite. Create interior architectural, finish and reflected ceiling plans, elevations and details along with corresponding specifications and schedules. Work with external consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, and fabricators to realize design and budgetary goals of the client. Guide and mentor junior designers, assisting in leading multiple projects at a high level, working collaboratively with other design and technical staff. Nurture and sustain client relations with a large tech client. Lead and contribute to office activities, communicating key firm initiatives and learning programs. Promote an inter‑disciplinary design approach that enhances Gensler’s culture of design quality and excellence. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture. 10+ years of relevant interior design experience with a portfolio demonstrating various phases of project work. Prepared to show examples of programming, schematic, & design development, CD’s and finished project photos. Ability to communicate and present design concepts and rationales. Ability to iterate to address client requests, budget considerations, architectural opportunities or constraints, or other impacts on design concept. NCIDQ certification required; architecture license encouraged. Knowledge of sustainable and universal design concepts. Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, Enscape, and/or other modeling software. Knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and proper specifications and procurement. Graphics and visualization skills to effectively communicate design ideas. Flexibility to focus on a single client with multiple projects in various stages of development. Submit portfolio/work samples along with resume. Compensation & Benefits The base salary will be estimated between $110,000 - $125,000 plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience.
