Desktop Support Technician

Qualifications: Associate degree or equivalent program in computer technology. Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Apple OS X, and Apple iOS operating systems. Experience and knowledge in computer troubleshooting. Ability to communicate technical and non-technical information verbally and in writing. Effectively work with staff, faculty, and students. Ability to think critically, set goals, and work independently or with a team.

Job Summary: The Desktop Support Technician provides first-level support to staff, faculty, and students; ensuring smooth classroom and administrative technology. The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting skills, excellent communication, and a passion for supporting education.

Responsibilities:

• Hardware & Software Management: Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain district computer hardware, peripherals, software, and smartboards.
• Diagnostics & Repair: Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently to minimize downtime in classrooms and offices.
• Help Desk Ticket Resolution: Prioritize and resolve assigned calls and tickets.
• Assist & Inventory Tracking: Maintain inventory. Systematically and physically.
• District Vision Alignment: Perform other relevant duties as needed to support the educational vision and operational goals of the Englewood Cliffs School District.

You will directly manage and support a diverse array of platforms and applications, including but not limited to: Operating Systems: Windows, Apple macOS, and iOS (iPads). MDM & Management: Jamf Pro/Jamf School, Google Admin Console. Productivity Suites: Microsoft Office and Google Workspace for Education. Admin Software: Genesis (SIS) and ClassLink (SSO).

Terms of Employment: Twelve-month position Starting Salary: $50,000+
