The posted compensation range of $57.42 - $77.97 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our surgical services nurse at Glendale Memorial Medical Center you will prepare patients for surgical procedures and assist in the operating room to ensure they receive excellent nursing when they are at their most vulnerable.

Every day you will go over consent forms answer questions about the procedure do preoperative assessments make sure the equipment is ready to go and update family members on the surgery status during the operation.

To be successful in this role, you will assist the surgeon during the actual surgery, applying your surgical nursing knowledge and skills in the operating room.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon and surgical team in the OR
• Care for patients before during and after procedures
• Develop and implement nursing care plan for surgical patients
• Ensure operating rooms are prepped with all necessary equipment and supplies
• Demonstrate a high level of compassion for patients

Honoring your commitment to care for others is thanks enough. Our leadership is visible and the hospital is expanding its services. Call is required and is based on shift and patient volume. Our surgical department consists of 8 operating rooms with a designated cardiac and urology suite. The OR suites are equipped with state-of-the-art lighting tables and equipment. While all service lines are supported hearts vascular major ortho and neuro spine are the most prominent.

The recent addition of the DaVinci Xi will allow this surgery department to provide a high level of care. This collaborative department supports learning and professional growth. We believe in a teamwork approach where each person is respected and valued.

We are not currently accepting new graduate or new to speciality applications. The most current information for new graduate (<12 months experience as an RN) and fellowship programs (>12 months experience as an RN) can be found at National Nurse Residency Program ( opens in new window).

Job Requirements

Required

• Minimum of 6 months previous acute care RN experience in same unit.
• Current and Active Registered Nurse: CA,
• AHA Basic Life Support / Advanced Cardiac Life Support,

Preferred

• Bachelors Of Nursing BSN, upon hire
