Outpatient Physical Therapist - Hand Therapy Experience Required

This is a 13-week contract position.

This position offers a 5x8 schedule:

• M: 8 AM - 7 PM
• T: 8 AM - 12 PM
• W: 8 AM - 7 PM
• Th: 8 AM - 5 PM
• F: 8 AM - 5 PM

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating all assigned patients, developing, implementing, and modifying treatment plans based on patient needs, goals, and physician directives. This role includes delegating and directing therapy services for assigned patients and ensuring the design of functional treatment programs for effective community reintegration.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations and develop treatment plans focused on patient discharge readiness.
• Document patient care accurately and timely, adhering to state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
• Engage in student program mentorship and provide supervision and evaluations for student therapists.
• Maintain professional growth through continuing education and active participation in professional activities.
• Adhere to discipline-specific regulatory standards and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
• Participate in organizational performance improvement initiatives and offer feedback for service quality enhancement.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have hand therapy experience and be comfortable making splints.
• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid and active physical therapist license for the state where services will be provided.
• Previous experience with Select Medical is preferred.
