Imagine a career where you can give voice to purpose — quite literally. As a Speech Language Pathologist in Tampa, Florida, your role transcends the treatment of communication and swallowing challenges; it is about unlocking potential, rebuilding confidence, and enhancing human relationships. From toddlers who are discovering their first words to seniors striving to regain their independence, your work will positively impact lives at every stage.
This position offers a unique chance to support a diverse spectrum of individuals in a setting that combines outpatient therapy with occasional inpatient responsibilities. Whether your focus is on pediatric language development, adult neurogenic disorders, or geriatric cognitive rehabilitation, you will find fulfillment and ample opportunity for growth.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations using standardized and observational methods for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Create individualized treatment plans to meet both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing needs.
- Deliver targeted speech therapy interventions addressing language, fluency, voice, and swallowing concerns.
- Work in tandem with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to develop comprehensive care strategies.
- Provide education to patients and their families to facilitate progress outside of therapy sessions.
- Assist with inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions to ensure seamless care throughout the treatment journey.
- Maintain timely and precise documentation consistent with state, federal, and organization guidelines.
- Engage in continuous education and collaboration with peers to stay current with developments in the field.
Qualifications
- Earned a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not already ASHA certified.
Licenses and Certifications
- Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
Essential Skills
- Knowledgeable in evidence-based treatment practices across all ages, with a focus on developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Ability to modify therapy techniques to cater to diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving capability.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation requirements.
Perks and Benefits
- Competitive salary based on experience.
- Flexibility in scheduling to support work-life harmony and diverse caseloads.
- Options to specialize in pediatrics, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatric services.
- Paid time off (PTO) and holiday compensation.

A Journey That Engages You — and Engages Others
In this influential role, you will do more than offer speech therapy. You will become an integral part of a community mission, fostering communication, enhancing connections, and sparking joy through the simplest of human interactions: both understanding and being understood.
Here, you will work alongside co-workers who treat one another as family, in an organization that values collaboration over competition. Each patient carries a unique story, and we trust you to help shape their narrative.

If you yearn to serve with heart and lead with expertise, we welcome you with open arms.
Let Us Communicate Progress — Together
If you believe communication encompasses more than just sound, and that therapy entails building trust before tackling aspirations, and that laughter is as vital as language, then this role could be the next exhilarating chapter of your career.
