This opportunity is for our Swing Shift Position – 2pm‑10:30pm.

POSITION SUMMARY

Provide and lead mechanical maintenance support for RWC Manufacturing Plants. Troubleshoot equipment, make modifications and perform corrective & preventative maintenance on all onsite equipment. Identify, select and work with basic materials and participate in the installation, building and moving of equipment. Possess experience and ability to run strategic projects to completion.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs. Identify and make modifications to improve or accommodate processes, systems or equipment. Troubleshoot system controls. Repair mechanical controls. Lay out and install complex piping systems. Weld all required materials and consider stress relief (MiG weld and other welding techniques are a plus). Prepare complex assembly layouts. Coordinate rigging tasks. Participate in designing layout of machinery for installation. Coordinate efforts of others in completing machinery and equipment installation. Install and align equipment and machine components within tight tolerances. Suggest design improvements or modifications to drawings. Work from verbal instructions and sketches to create designs. Identify patterns or trends and suggest solutions. Complete assignments independently. Give direction to others when required. Plan and organize projects as a project manager. Create and drive project timelines to completion. Solve complex problems. Recommend corrective actions. Make structured presentations to departments or small groups. Lead group discussions and project planning meetings. Write reports and procedures. Use A3/RCCM process to drive problem solving for complex equipment and manufacturing processes (a plus). Serve as an informal team leader and expert resource for others. Suggest, plan and train team members. Be open to overtime; flexibility and support of the business are important.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Education & Experience High school diploma or G.E.D. Minimum 5 years industrial experience in a manufacturing setting. Computer proficiency with Windows Word, Excel, Outlook, MACPAC and internet. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of plastic manufacturing equipment – e.g., extruders, payoffs/take‑ups, mixers, dryers, feeder systems and other plastic‑coated wire processes (a plus). Knowledge of preventive maintenance and LOTO. Receptive to Lean concepts and use of continuous‑improvement tools. Willing and able to work weekends (mostly Saturdays).

WORKING CONDITIONS

Lifting up to 50 lbs. Job requires pushing production materials and wheeled carts. Sitting – frequently as required by the process. Standing – frequently as required by the process. Climbing – seldom as required by the process. Kneeling – occasionally as required by the process. Coaching/stooping – occasionally as required by the process. Full use – job requires full range of upper‑extremity motion in manipulating materials used in production. Walking – frequently as required by the process. Pay Transparency Pay Transparency: Chemelex’s pay scale is based on the expected range of compensation for this job and the employee’s work location. Pay within this range will reflect knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, pay will comply. Compensation Range: $100,000 - $114,400 – Depending on the position offered, employees may be eligible for other forms of compensation.
