Senior Subcontracts Administrator

Senior Database Administrator – Washington, DC Region The Senior Database Administrator will be responsible for managing, configuring, and maintaining enterprise database systems for federal and government customers throughout the Washington, DC region. The role requires broad experience on mainframe DB2, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, Informix, and Oracle environments, as well as strong performance tuning, security, and backup/recovery practices. Key Responsibilities Manage, configure, and maintain DB2 databases running on mainframe platforms for the Department of Motor Vehicles and other federal agencies. Lead the PostgreSQL database team and oversee database architecture and day‑to‑day operations. Design, build, and maintain enterprise data platforms including Snowflake, Informix, and Oracle. Perform performance tuning, database provisioning, capacity planning, backup, and recovery. Ensure database security, availability, and integrity in accordance with federal regulations. Maintain and administer Oracle database environments supporting applications such as FMS‑NG. Support database troubleshooting and provide technical guidance to application teams. Qualifications 3+ years of experience as a database administrator in a senior or lead role. Proficiency with IBM DB2 (LUW or z/OS) on mainframe platforms. Experience with PostgreSQL, Snowflake, Informix, and Oracle databases. Strong understanding of performance tuning, backup/recovery, and security best practices. TS/SCI or TS/SCI with Poly clearance required or highly desired. Eligibility to obtain and maintain a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) and a Public Trust clearance. U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent resident status. Comfortable working in a hybrid or remote environment, with occasional travel to Washington, DC.
