Requirements of the Receptionist

• Consistent, professional dress and manner
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Good time management skills
• Professional attitude and appearance
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
• Excellent organizational skills
• Receptionist experience preferred

Responsibilities of the Receptionist

• Greeting all visitors to the nursing home, answering questions, and guiding them to proper locations
• Answering phones, taking messages, and returning phone calls
• Organizing transportation for patients needing to keep appointments at outside facilities
• Performing clerical duties such as copying, faxing, emailing, etc.
• Routing calls, messages, faxes, and performing other clerical tasks
• Ordering and maintaining inventory supplies
• Providing basic information about the services of the nursing home to clients
• Receiving and forwarding admission inquiries to the marketing department
