Job Description $10,000 Sign-on Bonus for eligible new employees joining UW Medicine UW Medical Center - Northwest has an outstanding opportunity for a Full-Time, Registered Nurse in the Operating Room Department. Work Schedule Full time / 40 Hours per week Rotating/variable shift Position Highlights Circulate and Scrub a variety of surgical cases As a registered nurse (RN), you can be a part of this highly skilled team, working within a culture that is collaborative. Here, you will work in tandem with physicians and other health care practitioners to provide superior, nursing care. Primary Job Responsibilities Provide pre-, intra-, and post-operative care for surgical patients, a role that includes preparing the surgical site and equipment. Assist surgeons during operations by providing instruments and managing patient needs, and monitoring patient recovery. Act as a patient advocate, maintain a sterile environment, coordinate with the healthcare team, and provide patient education for recovery. BLS and minimum of 2 years current general OR nursing experience with circulating in a variety of clinical settings required. Scrub experience is desired but not required.
