The Role The Receiving Work Leader is responsible for overseeing all inbound receiving operations for fresh flowers, ensuring product is accurately offloaded, inspected, and processed. This role plays a key part in maintaining operational efficiency, product quality, and a safe, organized warehouse environment. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate daily receiving operations, including offloading, breakdown, labeling, and check-in of inbound shipments Monitor team performance to ensure accuracy, proper handling of perishable products, and effective use of RF scanning equipment Partner with replenishment, purchasing, and quality teams to ensure timely product flow and resolution of discrepancies Communicate receiving issues, including quantity or temperature discrepancies, to appropriate teams Conduct daily team huddles to review performance, priorities, and workload expectations Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including dock lock procedures and equipment inspections Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of receiving and material handling areas Track and report daily receiving metrics and approve team timekeeping Work Environment & Physical Requirements This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment, including standing and walking for extended periods, bending, lifting, and operating warehouse equipment. The position requires lifting up to 50–60 pounds and working with perishable products in a temperature-controlled environment, with or without reasonable accommodation.
