Per Diem Registered Nurse (RN) Opportunity

Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital, Inc. is seeking a per diem RN to join our team. As a per diem RN, you will work 16 shifts every 6 months, including 4 weekend shifts and one summer and one winter holiday requirement. You will provide immediate acute care in our Emergency Department (ED), which includes triaging, assessing, treating, and documenting care. Our ED has 29 beds and offers 24-hour access to Xrays, CTs, and ultrasounds, and most of the day access to MRIs. We are also a Primary Stroke Center.

The Registered Nurse is responsible for planning and providing patient care for assigned patients in accordance with Nursing Standards of Care. The RN demonstrates initiative, knowledge, and clinical skills in caring for patients with complex needs. The RN is directly responsible to a designated nurse manager or supervisor and ensures the practice of the Patient and Family Centered Care Model.

Qualifications

• BSN required
• Massachusetts Registered Nurse Licensure required
• BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers required
• Must obtain ACLS prior to end of orientation and may not practice independently without ACLS
• PALS preferred
• ED experience is strongly preferred
• 2 years' telemetry experience preferred
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Show evidence of the basic analytic thinking necessary to care for a group of patients
• Ability to demonstrate observational skills and the ability to set priorities
• Ability to adhere to all I.C.A.R.E. standards
