Cashier Position

As a cashier at the station, you will be the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring a smooth and efficient checkout experience. Your role is critical in accurately processing transactions, handling cash and electronic payments, and maintaining the integrity of the cash register. You will contribute to the overall customer satisfaction by providing friendly and professional service, addressing inquiries, and resolving any issues promptly. Additionally, you will support store operations through janitorial duties, stocking shelves and coolers, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area. Your ability to work a flexible schedule and perform physically demanding tasks will help sustain the store's daily functionality and customer service excellence.

Minimum qualifications include:

• Previous experience in cashiering or retail customer service.
• Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions and stand for extended periods.
• Capability to lift and carry heavy weights safely.
• Strong communication skills and phone etiquette.

Preferred qualifications include:

• Experience with point of sale (POS) systems and cash register operations.
• Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Prior experience in merchandise stocking, janitorial or maintenance duties within a retail environment.
• Demonstrated ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
• Customer service training or certification.

Responsibilities include:

• Operating the cash register to process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Handling cash, credit, and debit card payments while ensuring proper cash management and reconciliation.
• Providing excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving concerns.
• Performing janitorial duties such as cleaning the checkout area and restocking supplies to maintain a welcoming environment.
• Stocking shelves and stocking coolers as directed by store management.
• Assisting with lifting and carrying heavy items as needed to support store operations.
• Managing phone etiquette by answering calls professionally and directing inquiries appropriately.
• Adhering to store policies and procedures to ensure compliance and security at the point of sale.

Saturday: 12pm-8pm Sunday: 10am-7pm
