HR Lead (Generalist or Manager Level)

The HR Generalist serves as a key business partner  to management and employees . This role  manages human resource functions including employee relations, performance and talent management, training and development, compensation and benefits, talent acquisition, leave of absence, HR system administration, and  facilitating organizational policies and programs to ensure labor law and regulatory compliance.  

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:  

• Act as a trusted business partner to the management team and employees in the navigation of employee relations issues, talent development and coaching, progressive discipline, and other inquiries.  

• Support the development and execution of employee engagement initiatives and make recommendations for the enhancement of current processes and programs with a focus on continuous improvement.  

• Identify and  facilitate training and development opportunities in support of operational excellence and employee development.  

• Promote a positive, supportive, and inclusive work environment focused on compliance with applicable labor laws and regulatory requirements.  

• Source, recruit, and support the  selection and onboarding of talent for both salaried and hourly positions.  

• Maintain the integrity of employee records and other data within the HRIS and contribute to the enhancement of HR systems through  additional modules, process improvements, and automation.  

• Administer and support the continuous evaluation of compensation structures and benefits programs.  

• Collect, analyze, and  leverage HR metrics and data to support HR KPIs and strategic initiatives.  

• Other duties as assigned.  

 
CORE COMPETENCIES, SKILLS & ABILITIES:  

• Demonstrated competency in functional areas of HR, including employment law (federal and multi-state), employee relations, compensation & benefits, HR systems, talent acquisition , OFCCP and AAP.  

• Proven critical thinking skills and ability to make decisions and execute independently.  

• Exemplary written and verbal communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.  

• Impeccable ability to  operate with integrity, confidentiality, and compassion in sensitive situations.  

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:  

Education & Experience  

• Bachelor’s degree in HR Management  

• 5 years of HR Generalist /Manager experience in  the commercial construction industry pre ferred  

• Experience in HRIS administration  .  

• SHRM PHR/SPHR certification   a plus
