Desktop Support Technician

Desktop Support TechnicianWe are seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide onsite technical support for end users in a Microsoft-based enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for resolving desktop hardware and software issues, managing help desk tickets, supporting Microsoft technologies, and ensuring reliable desktop operations. This is a full-time onsite position requiring excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide break/fix support for desktops, laptops, hardware, and software.Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain desktop systems and applications.Respond to help desk requests via phone, email, remote tools, and in-person support.Manage the complete lifecycle of support tickets, including documentation, escalation, and resolution within SLA timelines.Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, and basic networking issues.Collaborate with internal teams and third-party vendors to resolve technical problems.Support Microsoft technologies including Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, and Active Directory.Ensure seamless connectivity with enterprise applications, email, conferencing, and file services.Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, solutions, and system changes.Prioritize multiple support requests while delivering excellent customer service.Required QualificationsExperience providing desktop and laptop hardware/software support.Strong troubleshooting skills for Windows operating systems, desktop applications, and basic networking.Experience working with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms.Hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, and Active Directory.Familiarity with basic scripting using PowerShell, Shell, or PERL is a plus.Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced technical support environment.Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting enterprise desktop environments.Knowledge of IT service management processes and SLA-driven support.Experience working with vendor support teams and enterprise infrastructure.
